As a SEBI-registered stockbroker, Geojit understands the importance of protecting and ensuring the security of your investments. Therefore, we request you to follow the best practices given below and safeguard your hard-earned money.

Advisory on impersonation and unauthorised market practices

  1. Stay alert and beware of Unverified Calls, Messages, WhatsApp or Telegram group investment schemes that misuse the company’s name and logo. Authenticate the source and information you receive through such groups before believing/acting on the same.

  2. Fraudsters are misusing Geojit’s name, logo, branding, and names and details of our senior management, to lure people with fake investment schemes and promising high returns from stock market and mutual fund investments. We have reported these fraudulent activities to the authorities. We urge you not to fall victim to such schemes. Visit geojit.com/gil for authentic information about our products and services. Contact customercare@geojit.com for details.

  3. Fraudsters may attempt to contact you through calls or messages or WhatsApp or Telegram group, posing as representatives of the company. Therefore, refrain from making any investments or sharing any personal or financial information with unknown or third parties without verifying their authenticity.

Please note that the stockbroker would not be responsible for any loss incurred by you due to advice taken in your personal capacity from unidentified groups, unverified calls, any unknown person, third party, etc.

Also refer to the DOs and DON’Ts for more information.

  • Refrain from trading in leveraged products like options without a proper understanding, as it could lead to losses.
  • Writing/selling options or trading in option strategies based on tips, without basic knowledge and understanding of the product, is highly risky and can lead to huge losses. Analyse risk-return before making any investment decision.
