About The Company

Waaree is the largest manufacturer of solar modules in India. With four state- of-the-art plants located in Gujarat (Surat, Tumb, Nandigram, and Chikli), they are covered under PLI scheme for the capital expenditures.

From a mere 30MW capacity they have grown to an impressive capacity of 12,000 MW, with 10,000 MW added within less than two years.

As per the annual report, by FY 2024-25, Waaree intends to achieve 6 GW of wafer manufacturing, 11.4 GW of cell manufacturing and around 20 GW of solar module manufacturing. At a conservative 70% capacity utilisation and moderated realisations (Rs 2 crore per MW), the company holds the potential to generate revenue growth by 4x .

Future Products

Green hydrogen manufacturing: The Waaree Group successfully secured a one mega-watt green hydrogen capacity contract.
Electrolyzer manufacturing: The Group intends to manufacture electrolyzers to meeting the soaring demand for green hydrogen, positioning itself as a sustainable energy solutions partner.

PLI Advantage

The anticipated investment cost of Rs 8,500 crore is projected to be offset by the production-linked incentives introduced by the Central government, along with additional incentives provided by state governments.

Valuation

Waaree has grown topline by 2x and bottomline by 5x
(FY23: Revenue - 6860 cr ; PAT - 500 cr)
At the current pricing, Waaree is at a P/E of 40x

IPO Plans

Waaree has raised private capital of almost 2000 crores in the last two years .
They have also filed their DRHP - and are reviving plans for an IPO in the near future

34.95% ROCE in FY 2022-23
51.21% revenue CAGR in the last three years
